Stephanie Furness

Ms. Furness brings more than 12 years of field experience to her role as content writer specializing in behavioral health within the health and human services vertical at Relias. The majority of Ms. Furness’ experience has been providing mental health counseling and case management in private practice, inpatient behavioral health, community and medical settings. She served as part of the National Health Service Corps, providing outpatient counseling to underserved populations, including military service members and their families. Prior to beginning her graduate studies in 2005, she contracted for McGraw-Hill Visual Education Group as a copyeditor; she has since written and delivered workshops on relevant topics such as LGBTQIA+ sensitivity, youth suicide prevention, and how to provide direct, in-community services to adults with IDD.
