Scott F. McConnell, RN, CEN, NRP, PHRN, MICN, started his career in EMS in 1990. Initially working as an EMT, he became a Paramedic in 1995. Scott held various positions as a cardiac catheterization lab tech, 911 paramedic, critical care paramedic, and Director of a Paramedic Program. He decided to become an RN and spent his first two years in a pediatric ED, and the following 5 years as a charge RN at a local adult hospital. Scott ultimately became Director of Critical Care Transport for a large hospital system and Vice President of EMS Education at OnCourse Learning.
