\\"Karen Collins is a registered dietitian nutritionist who promotes healthy eating as a speaker, consultant and writer. Karen serves as Nutrition Advisor to the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR). She is co-author of the \\"Nutrition and Cancer Prevention\\" chapter of The Clinical Guide to Oncology Nutrition (Third Edition), published by the Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She writes a weekly syndicated column, Health Talk, and is author of the blog, Smart Bytes�. Based in western New York, Karen conducted a long-time private practice in nutrition counseling, working with individuals and groups to develop realistic strategies for achieving health goals, including those related to medical problems such as diabetes and heart health.
