Hope Warshaw

RD, CDE, BC-ADM

Hope Warshaw, MMSc, RD, CDE, has been a dietitian and diabetes educator nearly forty years. She currently operates a consulting practice, Hope Warshaw Associates, LLC, in Northern Virginia. Her work spans from corporate consulting to freelance writing to virtual and face to face diabetes education and weight management counseling. As a writer Hope has authored numerous articles and books. She's the author of Diabetes Meal Planning Made Easy and Eat Out Eat Well � The Guide to Eating Healthy in Any Restaurant, published by American Diabetes Association. She is the contributing editor for Diabetic Living magazine and writes the Nutrition Q&A column in The Washington Post. As a long time consultant to McNeil Nutritionals, LLC and Calorie Control Council, Hope has developed significant expertise in the research evidence on low-calorie sweeteners. She applies this knowledge and her practical approach to provide realistic advice for nutrition professionals and consumers. Hope has demonstrated her leadership abilities over many years in volunteer positions for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. During 2015 Warshaw is serving as President-elect of AADE.
