The Supervisor of the Molecular Lab supervises the daily operations of the laboratory and assures compliance with all the regulatory and accreditations requirements. Supervises personnel and assures their competency. Performs new test validations. Performs routine molecular tests when needed. Assists in the troubleshooting of problems with tests, instruments and sample delivery. Reviews tests? performance and maintains quality control records. Maintains record of instruments, failures, calibrations and repairs. Prepares summaries of quality assurance records. Works with other BayCare departments to assure appropriate sample delivery and appropriate test requisitions. Performs laboratory tasks and other functions independently.
