We are seeking to hire an Infection Preventionist for the Infection Control department within City of Hope!

Position Highlights:

  • A member of the Infection Prevention Program working campus wide on infection control and prevention goals.

  • Make a difference in the only free standing comprehensive cancer center in California and one of (21st ) US World Reports best Cancer Centers in the US.

    Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts surveillance activities as assigned, responsible for public health reporting to local, state, and national health agencies.

  • Inputs and trends data, identifies infection prevention opportunities, and assists in investigations, and shares findings with partners, and consults on infection prevention matters.

  • Provides direct education to staff and collaborates on infection prevention curriculum with key partners.

  • Liaison for front-line staff, community partners, and leadership regarding infection prevention metrics and recommendations.


  • Current CIC (Certified in Infection Control).

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or commensurate degree in a healthcare-related field or public health. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.

  • Greater than 2 years of recent infection prevention and control experience in an acute care facility.


  • Master's degree in nursing, healthcare, public health, or related field.
