FULL-TIME FACULTY OPENINGS: NURSING
POSITIONS: Multiple positions in all clinical specialties
Locations: San Diego, Los Angeles, and Fresno, California
EFFECTIVE DATE: Open until filled.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A post-professional doctorate (PhD, DNS, DNP) in Nursing or related field is required (ABD considered); a minimum of five years teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing education program for both theory and clinical labs; record of scholarly activity; eligible for a current and unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license and a clear background check and drug screen. Successful candidates may be at junior, mid-career or senior levels of development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A record of published research and evidence of a current research agenda is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to achieving exceptional student learning, participation in shared faculty governance, and the Department's vision/mission to advance health worldwide through community engagement and partnerships.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach primarily undergraduate courses as assigned (some opportunities for graduate level teaching), facilitate student learning to achieve course learning outcomes; provide academic leadership to adjunct faculty in specialization; lead continuous quality improvement of curriculum and teaching effectiveness; scholarship commensurate with academic rank; apply for internal and/or external funding to support research/creative activity and/or student learning; advise undergraduate and graduate students; serve on Department, School, and University committees.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience and academic rank.
