Our Surgical Services department includes 3 OR's, 4 PACU bays, a new phase 1 PACU and admitting area, and Sterile Processing. You will work with 14 FTE's, skilled nurses and surgical techs, 2 CRNA's and several multi-specialty surgeons. Seaside Hospital is 1 of 8 Providence hospitals in the Oregon Region. General Summary:The Nurse Manager is accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services at Providence Seaside Hospital, in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals. This includes strategically ensuring a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups. Reports to the CNO. With a constant focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety, the Nurse Manager creates and maintains standards and systems for care delivery within Surgical Services and through the continuum of care for the patient. These systems of care delivery promote evidence-based practice and are designed to support the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources. Required:BSN; MSN or Master's in related field. Minimum 6 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles. Current Oregon RN License and BLS for Healthcare Provider. Must be a clinical expert in the OR and have proven operational skills for building teams and relationships with staff and physicians. Must be competent with Microsoft Office Suite products, and electronic communication systems. Preferred:Specialty certification through AORN or other recognized professional organization.
