Department: Otolaryngology Clinic Salary: DOE Hours: Part-time (0.6 FTE), days. Position will be four 6 hour shifts. Location: Hospital Main Campus
Functioning as part of a collaborative medical team, the MA participates in the care of patients in an ambulatory environment. Applying the necessary knowledge and skills the MA coordinates care, manages patient flow, and completes the initial patient intake and screenings. Join our dynamic multi-disciplinary teams in the ambulatory setting and experience many opportunities for professional growth and the ability to enhance already existing talent and skill.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional requirements include graduation from an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program, Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR Certification. Acceptable certifications include any one of the following: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) Professional Level, or American AED/CPR Association (American ACA) Professional Level.
If you are not currently certified as a Medical Assistant through the AAMA you arerequiredtoregister for the certification exam during your first 90 days in the MA role and successfully complete the national certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) within 12 months of hire and in no more than two (2) attempts to maintain continued employment in the MA I role.
