Physical Therapy Assistant - Home Health

A member of the home health team who, under the supervision of the Registered Physical Therapist and Director of Nursing, assists in the delivery or physical therapy modalities designed to restore the patient to his/her maximum level of functioning.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Must have current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Must have a vehicle with current insurance coverage.
• Must have at least 1 yr experience in a healthcare setting.
• Must have strong Interpersonal skills and excellent Customer Service skills.
• Must have a sincere desire to work with the aged and infirm.
• Must understand Psychosocial needs of patients in this age group.
• Must be able to supervise and instruct non-professional personnel and family members.
• Must possess sound judgment and be levelheaded in emergency situations.
• Must have an acute sense of responsibility.
• Must be well-groomed, courteous, tactful, patient and kind.
• Must have a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm.
