Job Summary:
Supervised directly by the Executive Director of Imaging.Performs clinical leadership, physician relations, and marketingduties at Florida Hospital Imaging. In the absence of the Executive Director of Imaging and Business Office Supervisor, is responsible for the technical supervision of theclinicaland business office staff.
Supervises up to 10 clinical employees and back-up supervisionfor 7 business office staff. Assists in the orientation of new employees in the department. Answers to the administrative directorand radiologists with respect to quality and /or quantity of workof others.
Must be able to make independent judgments as needed to adequately coordinate workflow and staffing. Very little of the work is repetitive in nature. Mature judgment is needed to resolve immediate or urgentproblems and deal with multiple priorities. Must be able to apply policy and procedures in a reasonable fashion,as well as make decisions where procedures are not available. Interpretationand development of policy is necessary.
MUST HAVE STRONG FRONT LINE MANAGEMENT AND PEOPLE SKILLS AND BE ABLE TO COMPLETE TASKS SUCH AS MAINTAINING ACRACCREDITATION,ETC.
Education:
Requires Associate in Science degree from an accredited Radiology Technology Program andbe registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) RT in diagnostic or mammography and hold a valid state license from the Florida Department of Health as a General Radiographer. BLS Required.
Experience:
Must be proficient in all areas of diagnostic radiology and mammography and be able to perform quality radiographs of protocols set by the radiologists. Must have a MINIMUM of 2 years experience in the MQSA guidelines for mammographyand1 year of experience in an Outpatient Supervisor setting. The ideal candidate must have great customer service skills, is approachable, and be able to work independently.
Core Duties will Include but not limited to:
Markets Imaging services at Florida Hospital Imaging and FHMMC facilities to physicians and their staff.Manages daily operations of theFlorida Hospital Imaging services.Prepares and maintains records relative to licensing requirements of the State Department of Health, ACR, ACHA, FDA, MQSA,and other governing boards.Performs the duties of a radiologist technologist with subspecialty as required.Assists in making long-term planning for the department.Communicates with various vendors ofcontrast and equipment relatedto the needs of the department.
