Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical care to the pediatric patient (0 - 21 years of age) in the out-patient Valvano Day Hospital on weekends (26 weekends per year, including holidays) and evening hours (5 PM - 9 PM) at Duke University Children's Hospital in collaboration with a supervising physician and a team of back-up physicians. The NP collects and documents data, performs history & physical, orders and interprets laboratory studies as well as provides direct patient care services.

Education:
Work requires a Master Degree in Nursing from an accredited university and national certification as a F/PNP.

Experience:
One year of NP experience preferred.  Pediatric bone marrow and stem cell transplant experiencepreferred.
