SUMMARY:
TheOccupational Health Managing Practitioneris responsible the coordination, education and consultation of employee health issues and requires effective interpersonal and management skills to promote and maintain the Employee Health Programs. In the absence of the Administrative Manager of Employee Health Services, plans, organizes, direct and controls the activities, budgets and personnel of the Employee Health office. Assists the Administrative Manager of Employee Health Services with the implementation of on-going performance improvement initiatives to ensure excellence in service and support is required.
Responsible for implementing up-to-date department policies, procedures, work standards as well as assuring documentation and that record completion is accomplished in accordance with allregulatory requirements as stipulated by the Joint Commission, CDC and state and federal regulatory agencies. Assists the Administrative Manager of Employee Health Services withconducting periodic quality audits, furnishes the findings and corrective action plans as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program and must be currently licensed in the State of Maryland. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. At least three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse or PA with recent clinical experience and a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of management experience required. Knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American with Disability Act (ADA), and regulatory requirements preferred. Previous budgetary or fiscal management experience preferred. Must maintain current CPR certification.
Experience in occupational health required. Experience in the areas of physical assessment, first aid practices, and health education is required. Thorough knowledge ofJoint Commissionstandards as they relate to employee health. Familiarity with Respond systemsoftware preferred.
