Requirements:
Summary of Position: Responsible for the delivery of care to patients with behavioral health impairments though the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Facilitate paitent teaching, supervises activities of mental health Techs. Organize use of resources, including time efficiently and effectively. Participate in activites promoting professional growth and eevelopment. Essential Functions: *Provide direct patient care, including medication administration *Provide nursing perspective and information to treatment team in a collaborative manner and as a patient advocate * supervise and support MHTs and OSAs in providing direct patient care * Provide patient education, including discharge planning and relapse prevention * Participate in department and orgainizational performance improvement and education initiatives concerning behavioral health services
Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BS in Nursing preferred * Current Georgia license to practice as RN required * Previous medical/surgical as well as behavioral health experience preferred.
