Northside Hospital is one of the largest and most respected providers of comprehensive cancer services in the Southeast, combining the latest in technology and research with compassionate patient-centered care. The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute offers the best of both worlds: clinical excellence on par with academic-based programs, along with the personalized and attentive care typically associated with a community hospital.  The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) offers the best of both worlds: clinical excellence on par with academic-based programs along with the personalized and attentive care typically associated with a community hospital. As part of the NHCI team, the Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) will be responsible for managing the care of identified patients with cancer, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, to ensure delivery of superior cancer care. The ONN serves as a single point of contact for cancer patients, caregivers, and referring physicians, and provides resources and assistance with accessing clinical and supportive care services. Activities of the ONN will be overseen by the Coordinator of Oncology Navigation.

The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute continues to grow by diagnosing and treating more cancer patients every year, while continually expanding its geographic footprint. In response to this growth, we are working to ensure all patients have access to oncology support services as supplements to the high-quality care they are receiving at our hospital campus locations and outpatient infusion clinics. This position will be a member of the oncology support services team serving the Northwest Region of NHCI’s service area. Team members will include nurse navigators, cancer care liaisons (lay navigators), social workers, dieticians, financial specialists, genetic counselors, and community health advocates. These individuals will primarily support patients on the Northside Hospital – Cherokee campus and within the five outpatient infusion centers located in the Northwest Region.
