The RN Staff Nurse will assist the Charge Nurse in providing and coordinating unit activities to assure compassionate patient care. Provides direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. The RN Staff Nurse will also promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team.
Major responsibilities included but not limited to:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing Approved program.
One year experience in an acute care facility required. 6 months telemetry experience required.
Special Skills Required:
Ability to Diagnose and treatment life-threatening arrhythmias. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates a caring, respectful and compassionate attitude towards all people.
Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis, push/pull, bend/twist/stoop, walking/standing/sitting, repetitive motion.
Additional Requirements: One year of current Medical Surgical acute care RN experience or current ED RN experience required or successful completion of SHMC's ED Training Program or New Grad from ADN or BSN programs within the last 3 -6 months with two years of current SHMC ED Tech or SHMC Mental Health Tech experience. Proof of current BLS and ACLS required. TNCC required within one year of date of hire.
