Our Quality Improvement (QI) Department works to advance learning and system-wide improvements throughout the hospital, various outpatient sites, and the communities we serve. The program is a comprehensive effort that addresses Northside Hospital's dimensions of quality, including: clinical and service excellence, patient safety, continuous readiness, and operational efficiency. The Department improves health care provider and system performance through Departmental and Medical Staff peer review, maintaining a program of continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards, AHRQ patient safety measures, and utilizing data from department-specific QI initiatives to guide performance improvement efforts.
The Cardiovascular Data Specialist will be responsible for the abstraction of data and data integrity for the ACC/NCDR ,CATH-PCI ,ICD,VQI and CHF GWTG and ICD registry database reporting requirements. The position is responsible for managing all processes related to the collection, analysis, and reporting of Cardiology Services clinical data used for reporting Continuous Quality Improvement and management information.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Three (3) years of nursing experience in a cardiovascular care setting. Clinical background to include in-depth knowledge of the cardiovascular patient population. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective computer skills. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians.
