Mt Sinai Beth Israel Phillips Ambulatory Care Center is currently looking for a Full Time Nurse Practitioner position is to work on our outpatient hematology oncology practice, collaboratively with one of the medical oncologists. The Nurse Practitioner will work primarily with one provider, but there are 4 other NP/RN's who work in the medical oncology practice and they do sometimes cover for each other. The outpatient practice sees on average 80 - 100 patients a day with about 40 per day receiving chemotherapy and a large percentage with malignancies. This position will be reporting to the collaborating physician for clinical practice issues and to the Nursing Manager or Director of Nursing for administrative issues. The schedule will be from Mondays Friday from 9:00 am 5:30 pm.
Ideally the candidate would have two years of oncology and NP experience (or one or the other). Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Masters Degree and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required. Must have an active New York State NP and RN license. .Bilingual Spanish speaking is highly preferred due to the patient population. We would also like someone with good communication skills who works well on a team, someone with excellent customer service attitude, etc.
