Responsibilities:
The Cancer Center Technician is responsible for facilitating examination and treatment of patients in the Clinical Cancer Center. Contributes to patient care by preparing patient for treatment visit, performing blood draws, maintaining patient clinical records, organizing patient rooms, maintaining supply/equipment inventory, and/or assisting providers and other members of the Cancer Center interdisciplinary care team. Other duties as assigned.

Summary:
Minimum of two (2) years work experience is preferred. Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

High School Diploma or GED is required and a graduate of an CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate), State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with a completed clinical rotation. Incumbents in the position prior to July 1, 2012 may substitute this educational requirement with the following statement - minimum of 2 years work experience in an outpatient setting preferred. Experienced Medical Assistant (certification preferred), Certified Nursing Assistant or student nurse that completed a clinical rotation (senior preferred) or equivalent experience.

CPR required within introductory period.
