The VITAS Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team and is the pivotal person in identifying the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family.  Responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for the patient and family upon admission to VITAS and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care.  This position is based out of the main office located in Altanta, GA.


Our Registered Nurses may be placed in inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, retirement centers and home care as needed to perform a patient/family admissions.

  • Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of  two (2) years working experience as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in hospice, medical/surgical or home health preferred.
  • Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • The full-time RN will work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm and rotate weekend on-call every other month with other team members.
  • The RN will be placed on teams depending on geographic location in the Atlanta Metro area and provide patient/family care as needed.
  • Qualified candidates will reside in Northwest, Northeast, East, West, Southwest or Southeast Atlanta.
  • Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage required.
  • Mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Completion of course study as required to acquire RN state licensure.
  • ADN required.
