Responsibilities:
The Director of Quality and Patient Safety is responsible for hospital-wide quality assessment and improvement activities, public reporting, regulatory readiness, preparation for Joint Commission and other accreditations, infection control, and patient safety for the Community Hospital Divison. Participates in developing and executing a strategic vision for Performance Improvement within the organization and oversees facilitation of regular project reviews. Applies change management and process improvement methodologies to projects and strategic initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

Summary:
Five to ten years of healthcare quality management experience with quality management, regulatory and accreditation oversight is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care setting is required. Lean and Six Sigma experience is required.

Masters Degree in Nursing or related Healthcare field is required

Other information:
Communication skills necessary to effectively interact with the Hospital Board, Medical Staff, Administration, management and staff members. Analytical skills necessary to critically assess educational, quality management, infection control, and safety practices, review data, and research materials in order to design effective hospital-wide programs and revise programs to increase effectiveness. Strong IT, communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of audiovisual services is preferred
