Job Duties

Assume the accountability, coordination, management and delivering of patient care in an Integrated Clinic (Radiation Oncology/Integrated Clinic and Breast Center). Major functions include but not limited to: Functioning as the point of contact for an individual service-line and working closely with team physician and other members; assisting charge nurse with clinic scheduling needs and daily flow; promoting quality and cost-effective patient care, including patient assessment, treatment, education and coordination; Providing guidance to hospital assistants, residents or students with patient care needs; preparing room or equipment set- up for patients undergoing procedures; Assisting physicians with procedures, including conscious or general anesthesia; Providing pre, intra and post procedure patient care; Providing clinical (radiation therapy, brachytherapy) coverage at the Westwood clinic and Santa Monica clinics.

Job Qualifications

BLS and ACLS required, and PALS preferred. 2) Experienced in Adult and Pediatric patient care in both inpatient and ambulatory sitting. 3)Ability to deliver basic cardiac life support measures appropriately and in a timely fashion, including assistance with ACLS . 4) Interpersonal communication skills sufficient to work with patients and medical staff.5) Demonstrate teaching skills sufficient to educate patients and/or their family members regarding the indication for the treatment/procedure and the treatment/procedure itself.5) Nursing skills sufficient to evaluate health needs of patients.7) Teaching skills sufficient to train other staff members to procedures performed.8) Ability to function independently and effectively with shifting priorities and considerable pressure.9) Demonstrate effective management of time and resources.10) Skill in planning, directing, and coordinating.11) Skill to organize and prioritize.12) Skill and ability to triage and respond quickly and accurately with patient needs and physician directions. 13) Knowledge of PI structure, process, and outcome.14) Advanced computer navigation skills are required.15) Knowledge of equipment in the units and maintenance needs. BSN strongly preferred
