The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.
This is a 27 bed medical/surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Care is provided for patients ranging in age from young adult through older adult and occasionally for pediatric patients. Practice is based on primary nursing with a strong emphasis on a multi-disciplinary team approach and patient/family education.
- A current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse License is required for this position.
- CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.
- At least one year inpatient/hospital med/surg RN experience required.
Preferred: At least one year med/surg GI RN experience.BSN degree strongly preferred.
