Job Summary/Purpose:

The Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office will oversee, provide support and advice, and offer improvement advice, in the clinical area to optimize quality improvement opportunities. The Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office  will coordinate oncology clinical trials at Cancer Treatment Centers of America – Midwestern Regional Medical Center with the Office of Clinical Research.  The primary responsibility of Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office is to manage all aspects of conducting clinical trials.  The clinical research RN lea Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office is required to have an in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations, will work with staff in the implementation of a competence-based framework to ensure quality service delivery.  As the primary resource for the protocols, the Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office will act as liaison between the investigators, primary care providers, the institutional review board (IRB), and the sponsor.  Along with the investigator, the Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office will screen, enroll and follow study subjects, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoring while the subjects are on a study.  In addition, the Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office is responsible for data collection and entry, and adverse experience reporting.  The Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office will provide clinical leadership to staff; act in an advisory capacity to staff; will provide support, advice and training to staff; and will assist in evaluation of employees. The Manager of the Clinical Protocol Office will work with and oversee staff in the implementation of a competence-based framework to ensure quality service delivery.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license, and at least four (4) years of clinical experience; or at least two (2) years research-related experience.
