The role of the Hospital- Based Nurse Practitioner is multifactorial. The ARNP is responsible for daily rounding on assigned patient populations and to be available for medical staff. They function as the bridge between medical staff and nursing staff. They are required to be a clinical resource for nursing staff and are integral to the continuing education/ professional development of nurses in assigned areas. They respond to all rapid responses and cardiopulmonary arrests. In addition, they may be required to obtain other competencies as needed in the service line competencies including but not limited to, scrubbing and assisting in surgical procedures, insertion of central lines, etc. In addition, they also function in a leadership role and are required to maintain all standards of excellence that are expected by the organization. They are involved in multiple performance improvement activities in the hospital and may be required to sit on appropriate committees. They are in close communication with administration as well as nursing leadership to ensure that hospital initiatives and goals are carried out and maintained on a clinical level.Comprehensive Benefit Package and Generous Sign On Bonus available
Hours: 3p-11P and every other weekend

Minimum: Master's Degree in Nursing Science with Board Certification through either the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the Academy of Nurse Practitioners
Minimum: Five (5) years experience in critical care nursing and (1) year experience as a nurse practitioner.
Preferred: Five years (5) experience as practicing nurse practitioner. Experienced in central line placement and arterial line placement.
Experience with Ventilator Management, VAP Bundles, CVC Bundles, CAUTI Bundles, Therapeutic Hypothermia, intraortic balllon pumps, Advanced hemodynamics
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: Current Florida ARNP License, Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification. Any ARNP who has contact with pediatric trauma patients, current American Heart Association PALS certification is required.
Mandatory QUALIFICATIONS: Telemetry proficiency. Excellent human relations and/or written communication skills. Nursing Leadership experience preferred. Must be able to function as an educational resource for Critical Care/Specialty Care Areas throughout the facility.
