The Coordinator of Clinical Learning oversees the administration of clinical learning experiences for identified health programs. This involves securing and evaluating clinical sites and their use; facilitating the orientation of faculty to clinical sites; orienting preceptors in the nursing program; communicating schedule requests; and serving as the key liaison with the clinical sites and identified programs.
Oversees the process of clinical site resources including securing the clinical sites and assisting with scheduling the clinical sites.
Serves as the central point of contact for identified programs for the clinical site questions and directives.
Oversees the review and implementation of clinical affiliation agreements and necessary requirements.
Assists with interpretation and dissemination of clinical site specific paperwork, and seeks standardization for program documentation/paperwork within clinical site(s).
Schedules new nursing faculty orientation to clinical sites, maintaining a data base of faculty assigned to clinical sites and agency site contacts.
Conducts the evaluation of clinical site learning for students and faculty evaluation of clinical site.
Conducts a biannual meeting with clinical site liaisons.
Participates in Program Coordinator meetings, advisory committee meetings and Nursing faculty/committee meetings.
Works with Business Affairs to generate new and review existing affiliation agreements.
Develops and conducts the preceptor training program per accreditation requirements.
Works with Manager of Simulation and Lab learning to offer Simulation as clinical learning experiences.
Implements process for clinical site staff feedback on clinical faculty performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of two years in clinical practice as an RN.
Masters Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration.
Experience in Staff Development, Organizational Development or Teaching in a Health Career program.
