|Job Details:||Nurse RN|
Under general direction, integrates cost, quality and utilization to facilitate the admission, continued stay and discharge of the patient by combining the objectives of established clinical pathways and utilization management standards. The overall goal of the position is to promote continuity of care and cost effectiveness through the integration and functions of case management and utilization of resources. Will collaborate with the Case Manager, Social Worker and/or Progression Coordinator when payor requirements differ with documented discharge plan. Has accountability for the insurance requirements for inpatient admissions and continued inpatient stays as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Experience: 3-5 years clinical nursing experience preferably in Case Management, Quality Management, Utilization Review, Home Care or Discharge Planning preferred.
- Licensure: RN licensure in State of Michigan
- Skills & Abilities: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical decision-making and judgment skills. Demonstrates ability to function as a clinical care team member. Knowledgeable of all clinical resources available to patients both in both the inpatient and outpatient areas.
