Position Summary



Provide consistenly professional, proactive and personalized services to patients, families and visitors enhancing their experiences. Implement and model a non-judgmental approach to support, intervene and advocate fairly between patients/families, hospital and medical staff. Listens to concerns and suggestions while keeping the patient and caregiver perspectives in mind. Works with individuals and groups to resolve issues collaboratively while also working on process improvement with the various service areas and departments from which the concerns emanate.



 



Education Requirements



Bachelor's Degree preferred



 



Work Experience Requirements




  • Hospitality industry or public relations experience preferred

  • Must be friendly, people-oriented, outgoing, highly visible, optimistic, professional and accessible to patients/families, physicians, staff, volunteers, and community

  • Must be detailed oriented, efficient, flexible and proactive

  • Must have exemplary written and verbal communication skills

  • Presentation and classroom instructional skills

  • Knowledge of adult learning methodology

  • Experience with healthcare regulatory environment

  • Clinical experience, preferred



 



License/Certifications




  • Alternative dispute resolution training and/or mediation training or certification and/or conflict resolution training

  • Medical Terminology



 



Preferred Qualifications



1 year Clinical experience preferred



RN preferred
