This position provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. This position performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient in the unit. This position provides assistance and support to the Pre-op RN in organizing arrival times for the following days surgical patients, pre-op chart review, and pre-op patient phone calls to ensure a smooth running surgical schedule. This position is aware of protocol for SCIP antibiotic and CORE measures and ensures appropriate measures are followed. Assists with Optilink and KRONOS tasks as needed. This position reports to the Director of Outpatient Surgery.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit. Knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Current CA Registered Nurse license, current CPR, ACLS & PALS
- Outpatient Surgery experience required. Masters Degree preferred. Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
