Currently, we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with GYN experience to join our highly productive research team. In this position, you will participate in clinical research studies focused on the testing of microbicides, which are drugs in development to prevent the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. The research is also aimed at defining the factors that contribute to genital tract immunity in healthy and HIV-infected adult and adolescent women.
Responsibilities include assessing the health status of assigned study subjects, coordinating and managing their care, providing counseling regarding HIV risk reduction and contraceptive options, administering study medications and questionnaires, and communicating research findings.
To qualify, you must have current NYS NP licensure and at least 2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner (including experience in women’s health). You also must have experience conducting clinical research studies (preferably HIV/AIDS trials) involving human subjects.
