The Staff Nurse position is responsible for performing initial and on-going collection and re-assessment of data focusing on biophysical, psychological, environmental, self-care education and discharge preparedness; developing, implementing and evaluating the care of assigned patients in surgery; practicing effective problem identification and resolution using clinical knowledge base and sound decision making skills; performing scrub and/or circulating duties.
One (1) year of previous clinical experience within the past three (3) years in an Operating Room setting in an acute care hospital. Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing. Successful completion of a post-graduate perioperative training program. Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers. Current certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers is preferred.
