This position requires at least 1 year experience in acute care Telemetry/Med-Surg unit as a Registered Nurse. Candidates must have a CA RN, IV Therapy Certification, BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association. Other certification may be required. (exception: when staffing is experienced enough to support a trainee, applicants without the requisite experience may be considered)
The incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. The incumbent is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team, providing leadership, personal/professional development, and conducting him/herself professionally.
