The GENERAL SURGERY DEPARTMENT at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. Our multi-specialty department facilitates a wide range of patient procedures. Partnering with our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), we are able to offer our patients highly professional care in an environment that enhances the overall surgical/procedural experience.



Our twelve-room OR suite maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, which enables us to form close relationships with patients and their families during very difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7.



Located in Phoenix, AZ, this position is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.



JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dynamic RN who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients to coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. All Staff Nurses are expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.

REQUIREMENTS:


Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Basic Computer Skills


AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.

One year recent acute care experience preferred
