The incumbent is accountable for staff functions which enhance the delivery of patient care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice through education, role modeling, standards development, quality improvement, program development and coordination.



Three to five years of NeuroScience critical care experience will be needed to be successful in this position. Comprehensive Stroke Certification experience is preferred. A bachelor and masters degree with a specialty in neuro critical care nursing is required. California RN licensure, CNS licensure, and BLS and ACLS certificates from American Heart Association are required. CCRN, CNRN certificates are desired.
