Skilled physicians work closely with specially trained nurses and other healthcare professionals as the Emergency Department averages 71,000 patient visits each year. The Emergency Department is the key component to the Mercy Trauma Center, which is recognized nationally as a leader in trauma care and has achieved verification from the American College of Surgeons. We are also very proud of our high employee satisfaction scores, which can be attributed to our collaborative practice with physicians, management and our involvement of staff in peer interviews.
