Under the direction of the CSU Director, and working with physician leaders, manages daily clinical and administrative workflow of the department to maximize operational efficiency and patient safety. Provides daily oversight to charge nurses in each of the units: CSU Level 1 and Level 2, insuring coordination and communication between clinical units and auxiliary departments . Supervises all CSU staff. Assesses education needs of the department; develops and coordinates education efforts with the department educator, including new employee department orientation. Completes performance reviews, policy / regulatory requirements, and quality initiatives as requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Masters degree or in progress required.
Three (3) years of clinical experience within the past five (5) years within an acute hospital setting;
Two years previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
Current California license as a Registered Nurse .Current certification by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers. Current ACLS certification by the American Heart Association.
