The role of the Nightshift Nursing Supervisor in the ER is to primarily work closely with the Hospital Nursing supervisor and Charge Nurse for the daily functioning of the department. The nursing supervisor, in collaboration with the charge nurse and physicians, will determine unit needs, support nursing/ physician staff, maximize patient flow, and ensure adequate and quality care is being given to all patients. The nursing supervisor will also be involved in conducting documentation audits, employee performance monitoring, and implement educational initiatives. Emergency Room Nursing Experience required. Previous Supervisory experience preferred. Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications. BSN Preferred. CA RN, BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
