Provide overall strategic direction and business development for the Oncology Service Line at Dignity Health’s San Francisco Hospital’s?St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC) and Saint Francis Memorial Hospital (SFMH); and provide overall strategic direction and business development for the Women’s Health Service Line at SMMC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Provide overall strategic direction and business development support towards achieving program growth and development and improving quality and patient experience for the Oncology and Women’s Health service lines.

? Work closely with Hospitals’ physician leadership (including medical directors for Oncology and Women’s Health Services, the management Directors of Outpatient Oncology Services (Radiation Oncology, Infusion Center and Oncology Clinic [SMMC], Inpatient Oncology Services and Imaging Services (providing breast and other women’s imaging services within SMMC’s Center for Women’s Health) to develop and execute improvement projects for the service lines.
? Ensure service line goals and objectives related to the strategic plan are a) developed, translated and/or prioritized according to the overall system goals and strategies, and b) implemented and evaluated on an annual basis.
? Provide coordination across Oncology and Women’s Health services and work with senior leadership to facilitate marketing strategies, set new standards and oversee program/department compliance relating to regulatory standards and quality improvement.
? Establish and enhance relationships with community medical oncologists and specialists/subspecialist practices to achieve program growth and improve patient outcomes, communication and referral management.
? Foster relationships and collaboration among all key stakeholders that comprise the core service lines and others in support (clinical, non-clinical) roles.
? Be responsible for developing, managing and updating the service line strategic plan, including business plans and forecasts as necessary to achieve strategic goals and objectives in consideration of all aspects of the business.
? Identify potential risk areas for the service lines, and support/facilitate the problem resolution process.
? Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational standards for the service lines.
? Direct and oversee the Hospitals’ Cancer Registries and Research programs, including management of staff supporting these functions at SMMC and SFMH.
? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
? Demonstrated skill in healthcare organizational strategic and financial planning.
? Minimum of five years leadership/management experience in an Oncology Services setting.
? Previous experience in planning, development and implementation of relevant healthcare service lines/growth strategies.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking experience.
? Candidate will excel in Physician engagement strategic operations, physician market assessment, identification of industry movement and standards for outcomes and services.
? Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
