Supports the Hospice Director of Facility Based Services by providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to the nursing staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of Hospice and Palliative Care services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the program and MJHS. Oversees the In-Patient Units at various facilities while maintaining compliance with Hospice regulations at each facility and ensuring that policies and practices are consistent throughout the IPUs. Ensures adequate staffing and appropriate patient assignments. Maintains the integration of interdisciplinary services as part of the hospice and palliative care program’s interdisciplinary team approach. Functions as a member of the hospice and palliative care management team and attends management meetings as directed.home care, nursing, RN, homecare, nurse, hospice, home care hospice, hospice nurse, hospice rn

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN or BS degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of Hospice nursing experience (Supervisory or leadership experience preferred)
  • New York State RN licensure required
  • NYS valid driver license preferred.
  • National Board Certification in Hospice & Palliative Care (CHPN) preferred or obtains certification within one year of hire.
