We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient and Family Education Coordinator under the auspices of the Sala Institute. The requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred), valid NYS Registered Nurse License, at least 5 years of relevant healthcare leadership experience in a hospital/ healthcare system, and patient education experience in pediatrics. The successful candidate in the position will oversee the design and development of patient and family education program and materials for children and their families including the process and systems necessary for the creation, implementation, and use of multimedia patient and family education materials. The position entails working collaboratively with members of the healthcare team and with patients and families including the Family and Youth Advisory Councils to lead the evaluation, design, production, and implementation of multimedia patient and family education projects alongside the Director of Patient and Family Education, Department of Health Literacy, to promote and support the provision of Family Centered Care.
