Job Summary/Purpose:

The Nurse Educator is responsible for the coordination of the  plan for orientation, education, and training of critical care staff. These coordination activities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation of education programs, which are directed toward the achievement of excellence in patient care. The patient education programs are designed to meet the needs of patients of all age groups (average age group populations include pediatrics from age 12 months, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent required
  • Masters Degree in Education or Healthcare field preferred
  • Three years Clinical/Teaching Experience
  • Demonstrates ability in Adult Learning methods
  • Strong verbal/writing and organizational skills
  • Ability to use computer and software; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other software as required
