Winthrop’s Endocrinology faculty practice is currently seeking an experienced Diabetes Nurse Practitioner to join its prestigious team. The Nurse Practitioner uses his/her clinical expertise to plan the delivery of diabetes and obesity-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
This is an ideal opportunity to join a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary practice with a focus on a collaborative patient care approach. This role blends a balance of patient education and clinical care to strive for best patient outcomes.
Education: MSN degree, and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, required.
License/Certification: Current NYS registration, required. Nurse Practitioner Certification, required. Current BLS, required. Certified Diabetes Educator or CDE eligible preferred
Experience: Relevant diabetes and/or weight management experience strongly preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills.
Other: Ability to be credentialed consistent with the Medical Staff by-laws, required. Must be completely credentialed before starting position.
