Work closely with Surgical Services clinical and ancillary staff to comprehend end-user’s needs for IS applications, coordinate and provide on-going support and provide feedback to IS to ensure a high value, user-friendly, comprehensive, integrated network which meets the needs of clinicians. Oversee the Surgical Services IS process as well as the orientation and training for IS applications for management, staff, instructors and students. This position assists in ensuring the department meets the compliance standards for scheduling surgical patients, documentation of intra-operative patient care, utilization of and billing process for supplies and services, the maintenance of computer file inventory control system, preference cards, and accuracy of statistical reports.
RN with California RN License. BSN or related baccalaureate degree in health sciences preferred. Five years of direct nursing care experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate clinical needs into systems applications and cross communicate clinical concepts between clinical and non-clinical staff. Ability to problem-solve, facilitate and use CQI techniques with multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
Prior OR experience
Knowledge of Hospital’s Patient Information System and classroom teaching experience
