Gramercy Surgery Center is a fully accredited ambulatory surgery center dedicated to providing the highest possible quality, diverse outpatient surgical care. Our center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies allowing us to provide our patients with the latest therapies.

As Gramercy Surgery Center continues to expand and grow, we are in search of a Nurse Manager for our Flushing location. This position will be responsible for managing the Nursing Team in Flushing and actively participating in cases.

No Weekend, Overnight or Late Shifts

Management Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the daily flow of cases is effectively managed
  • Evaluates and interprets the Surgery Center's policies and objectives to insure compliance and consistent quality of care.
  • Scheduling nurses into cases, pre-operative and post-operative
  • Participates in Regulatory Issues.
  • Coordinator in-services on new procedures for clinical staff
  • Coordinate, Review and process incident reports as they occur at the center
  • Oversee and investigate infection and complication tracking for the center
  • Responsible for a new surgeons initial orientation at the center
  • Supervise all surgical technicians, clinical housekeeping staff and medical assistants.

Nursing Responsibilities:

  • Maintains general overview of surgeons and their needs, and monitors efficient room turnover
  • Supervises and directs all nursing care given to patients within the Surgery Center.
  • Evaluates and interprets the Surgery Center's policies and objectives to insure compliance and consistent quality of care.



  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Active NYS RN license
  • 5 years of RN experience (preferably OR)
  • 2 years of experience managing a staff of RN’s, scheduling, and clinical problem solving.
  • CNOR certification a big plus

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred (100) pounds.
