Assesses learning needs, designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs (orientations, continuing education, and inservices) that facilitate the professional growth, knowledge and skill development, competency, applicable regulatory standards, and attainment of standards of care for direct care providers within inpatient and outpatient nursing departments. Utilizes the educational design process, nursing theory, nursing clinical expertise, standards of practice, evidence based practice, and adult education principles to impact the quality of patient care as an expert educator, consultant, and project manager. Ensures that applicable regulatory standards and clinical standards of care are met within the organization related to associate competency, patient education, and other education related standards.
Current Colorado Nursing License required for RN; B.S. in Nursing; Master’s preferred or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing with definite plans to complete Master’s Degree in Nursing ,Education, or other related graduate field of study
5 years experience to include: 3 years clinical nursing experience and 2 years staff development, academic teaching and/or project development coordination experience. Must be competent in the use of Microsoft office products such as powerpoint, word, and excel.
