Nurse Practitioner Shock Trauma ICU/ CCRU The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide 24/7 care to critically ill and injured patients, in conjunction with the in-patient trauma and critical care teams.

A Master of Science degree, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner license is required. A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
The successful candidate will be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Program at the Masters level, approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians. At least two years of PA experience is preferred. Evidence of current certification as a Physician Assistant by the Maryland Board of Physicians, and certification or eligibility for certification by the National Commission for Certifying Physician Assistants is required. Flexibility, decision-making and a team oriented approach are key competencies in this role.
