Nurse Practitioner, Orthopaedic Traumatology R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center
The University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care to patients presenting to our Orthopaedic Traumatology program at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Here at the largest free-standing trauma hospital in the United States, we focus upon one mission- providing the best care to the most seriously injured from across the region, across the country and from around the world. Daily activities will include providing direct patient care, participation in morning rounds, and care coordination in both the trauma center and outpatient clinic. This position offers a full time work schedule, four days per week, one out of four weekends, and no on-call responsibilities.
Applicants should have completed an NP program at the Masters level, and be certified Adult, or Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioners licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification is also required. Orthopaedic experience is preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with prior experience. A Master of Science degree, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner license is required. A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Spine & Joint experience preferred. LI*KB-1-4
