PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Centeris seeking a full-time Ortho PA-C to join our Orthopedic team. Our ideal candidate is experienced, and enjoys a sense of autonomy, while also collaborating well with our surgeon, an additional PA-C, and our clinical and OR teams. This opportunity is full-scope including patient evaluation, surgical assistance, and call.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Must be Board Certified by the AAPA.

Our ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in Orthopedics.

\nQUALIFICATIONS

\n Education:<\/strong>
\n Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
\n Must be Board Certified by the AAPA.<\/p>\n

\nExperience/Training:<\/strong>
\n Minimum of one year Physician Assistant experience preferred.
\n Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient\'s needs.<\/p>\n

\nLicense/Certification:<\/strong>
\n Licensed to practice in the state as a Physician Assistant.
\n Physician Assistant Certification.
\n BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 6 months of hire.<\/p>\n

\n
\nOther Skills:<\/strong>
\n Effective verbal and written communication skills.
\n Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patient, families, other healthcare staff, and other departments.
\n Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth, and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient quality.
