Accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the neonate and adult female patient in an obstetrical care area. Demonstrates the ability to work with the patient=s growth, developmental and psychosocial needs specific to each population being served, and meets standards of quality as measured by the QI process. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the RN supervises LPN's, PCA/NT, and Unit Secretaries in maintaining standards in accordance with the goals and objectives of the department.
POSITION REQUIREMENT - CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE Florida RN license, BLS Required. ACLS Required for Labor & Delivery only (Must be obtained within three months of employment). NRP Certification required (must be obtained within three months of employment).
