Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric ICU supplemental

University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) with a desire to join our multidisciplinary team in our Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit on a PRN basis. The PNP provides leadership in the management of patients presenting with acute and complex medical problems.

This position is an opportunity for an expanded pediatric generalist position delivering comprehensive care to a pediatric population with complex medical problems including technology dependence. Professional practice is in conjunction with the RNs, physicians and other members of the team. The position offers a full time, primarily day shift schedule.

The successful candidate will have completed a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, with acute care PNP certification. The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid clinical experience, possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. Maryland licensure or eligibility is also required with a minimum of two (2) years of pediatric nursing experience.
